From Del Rio head north on Hwy 277 approximately 41 miles to Loma Alta. Continue 2 miles north of Loma Alta and turn west on Dolan Creek rd (all weather county maintained road) Proceed 22 miles until reaching TEXAS STATE PARK NATURAL AREA. The ranch begins approximately 4 miles north of Dolan Creek road through the State Natural Area. There is approximately 2 miles of Dolan Creek located on the ranch.

Vegetation

There is an abundance of vegetation which includes mesquite, cedar, pin oak, live oak, Spanish oak, Mexican persimmom, and Agarita bushes. There is also a variety of grasses and cactus. The ranch is currently in great shape and has not been stocked with livestock for many years.

There are 4 submersible pumps, 1windmill, 30 troughs and one natural spring on this ranch

Wildlife
This ranch is home to many game species, including whitetail, axis, black buck antelope, aoudad, mountain lion, bobcat and several bird species including turkey, dove and quail. There is a wildlife program in place.

Cloudy Mountain Ranch's electricity is available from the Rio Grande Electric Cooperative and Southwest Electric with nearly 20 miles of electric lines
